Post-Surgical Recommendations

Things to consider after surgical operations in dentistry;

Pain may be felt on the first day of the operation. Apart from aspirin, you can take a pain reliever recommended by your doctor. Repeated doses can be taken every 6 hours
. After the operation, it should not be spit out and the mouth should not be rinsed with water. Since spitting and rinsing the mouth with water will remove the clot that will form at the wound site, it causes the bleeding to start again and the risk of infection to increase.
On the first day, soft and liquid foods should be fed.
Nothing should be eaten for 2 hours after the operation. Drinks should be warm.
After gingival surgeries, a protective paste is placed on the wound surface. In order for this paste not to fall, care should be taken to eat soft things and to keep that area clean.
In the first 24 hours after the operation, ice should be applied to the affected area from the outside.
