Post core restorations, popularly known as screwed teeth, are most often confused with implant restorations. This restoration is the process of restoring the tooth with structures placed in the root of the teeth whose upper part is destroyed but whose root part is intact.
While gold and titanium screws were used before, fiber structures are widely used today.
With these restorations, the teeth that normally need to be extracted can function in the mouth for many years. In order to be able to do this treatment, first of all, the root canal treatment should be done and there should be no infection at the root tip.
After the restoration, the treatment is completed by making a crown on the upper part of the tooth.
